My interest in the photo business started as a kid who liked to take pictures and I was able to get a job at the local camera store. At that time I didn’t know what my career would be; it just seemed better than flipping burgers. After working there for a while, I realized I liked the business and enjoyed working retail. So in 1990 I bought the store and the building. In 1999 I added a mini-lab and made space for a studio. In the early 2000s I got involved with school photography. I have added a Xerox printer to print school yearbooks, as well as cards and photo books. That part of my business has grown over the years; now it is almost half of my business. The rest of my business is still selling cameras, printing customer images, and having a portrait studio. I am currently serving (again) as Treasurer for the IPI Board of Directors.
